We believe in creativity and leadership; a University since 1992, our mission is to foster the next generation of creative practitioners, to contribute to cultural, social, and economic well being of society. The School of Art, Design and Architecture run a number of highly innovative, successful and industry ready programmes.
Winning textiles design competitions nationally and internationally, we believe our success emanates from our embrace of both technology and craft. Our students use both digital and hand techniques in tandem across programmes in textiles design, costume and fashion;  their enthusiasm is palpable and creativity is heightened.

AVA has allowed the University of Huddersfield to help bridge the gap between industry and education within printed textile CAD.  The students find the software easy to navigate round, the interface is familiar and the quick repeat tools and separations are particularly strong functions for the students to use.  The Materialise programme is fantastic, so very effective for 2D visualisations.”
