Latest Conference Up-date
The Boards of Trustees have agreed for this year only to waive the registration fee of £150.00 and offer Academics FREE PLACES at the conference
Why have we done this?
Academics are working hard in a climate of ever-tightening budgets and we recognise that the call to conference was issued very late in the academic year making it impossible for many of you to secure funding to attend.
We believe this conference will give you the opportunity to look a little more in-depth into a carefully chosen selection of inputs required by future designers joining the world of work.
Surface Pattern Design is a very, very competitive job market especially as technologies develop and competition between manufacturers for market share becomes ever stronger. It is a continuous race to get products to the market first.
A studio intern armed with these insights is more able to ‘hit the floor running’. They will be better equipped to interact, contributed more have some awareness of some new terminologies. It will help them understand what is expected and required of them.
Come and join and find out:
- what the current laws says and demand to protect copyright
- how substrates have changed and what benefits the change brings
- what is expected of today’s designer
- about the digital revolution
- how it can enhance the designer natural talents and skills
Please note the registration deadline has been extended to 14th February 2017
